I’ve always loved the suave cool of James Bond, whether it be Sean Connery or Daniel Craig, which was so evident in the Casino Royale film. In this painting the rockhopper penguin has interrupted a high stakes poker game. Naturally it is dressed in black tie, but also has the requisite Martini and the infamous Walther PPK pistol on the table - and a mischievous look in its eye.
